Business Development Manager

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Job Summary / Purpose:

The Business Development Manager will play a vital role in planning and delivering new Services/ Clients through a variety of strategies to support the growth and expansion of In1Go Technologies Portfolio. You are a hunter; a dynamic and results-driven individual in the Business to Business sales arena, who thrives in a competitive environment. Your role, as Business Development Manager, is to utilize your professional selling skills to generate leads, cultivate client relationships and to offer innovative solutions. You will be assigned to one of the vertical market- logistics, transportation, warehousing.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Pipeline Development
  • Create a well-qualified pipeline of prospective clients and opportunities by establishing and maintaining professional relationships with key decision-makers;
  • Research, source, make initial contact (cold calling, telephone prospecting), and meet potential clients at their locations to accurately qualify the prospect and establish needs;
  • Prepare and present proposals and close new accounts in targeted verticals;
  • Develop and maintain Sales Territory Plan and ensure achievement of Company sales targets and profitability;
  • Network and actively participate in User Groups, Associations, and Trade Shows in targeted verticals, including after-hours events;
  • Work closely with the Marketing , Operations, Product Development to generate new leads.
  • Serve clients, identify their needs and provide feedback on the success of the project’s effort.
  • Client Visits – build relationships and review service performance and identify opportunities.
  • Provide timely feedback to the Director regarding performance, sales activity reports and account strategy concerns;
  • Write weekly figures and reports.
  • Manage all activities through the Customer Relationship Management Software (CRM),ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Communication Strategies
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements;
  • Work closely with the Marketing, Operations and Principal Representatives to creatively develop on- going Sales Scripting whether for Cold Calling, Emails, Presentations, Public-Speaking Engagements, Testimonials, White Papers , RFP’s & unique proposals.
User Community Development
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Work closely with the marketing team in interacting/ creating interest with the community towards the company and its products.
Fiscal Responsibilities
  • Ensure delivery of top line objectives
  • Manage cost to sales/market expense.
  • Make budget projections.
Knowledge Building Responsibilities
  • Gather competitive intelligence
  • Profile companies to be approached.
  • Record interaction with prospects, clients and partners.
People Management
  • Hold weekly meetings; discuss task delegation and review issues
  • In conjunction with the president set quarterly targets and objectives
  • Branch communication – encourage respect and open communication.
Other
  • Perform auditing and quality checks.
  • Any other duties required and assigned.
